Q: HOW HAS TREATS4EATS BEEN IMPACTED?
A: It’s been devastating. We’ve lost about 95% of our business, as we primarily supplied restaurants and cafes. This health crisis has certainly taxed us in ways we were not prepared for. But … we’re hopeful that the community will ramp up its support for us as a small business, and that individuals and families will increase their direct purchases from us.
Q: ARE YOU DELIVERING OR DOING PICK-UP DURING THIS PERIOD?
A: We are only offering local delivery and shipping.
Local delivery will be to the following DMV areas—Frederick; Columbia; Baltimore City; Baltimore County; Bel Air; Washington, DC; Northern Virginia—Loudon County, Fairfax, and Alexandria; Silver Spring; Takoma Park; Germantown; Bethesda, Chevy Chase; and Rockville.
Shipping—Overnight or two-day shipping is available elsewhere, and to any state within the continental U.S. We aren’t shipping internationally at this time.
Q: HOW ARE YOU EXCERCISING SANITARY CONDITIONS & NON-CONTACT DURING YOUR PROCESSES?
A: Your safety and that of our staff is our number one concern.
We will continue to clean and sanitize our work areas, and wear gloves, through our production and packing process as we have always done as a required by our health department and State certifiers.
Local delivery of your ordered items is contact-free; and we will leave them on your doorstep or porches at the address you provide. We thank you for keeping our delivery personnel safe as we keep you safe.

Q: WHY USE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS?
A: Our cookies, pies, cakes, and products are about 95% organic. We believe it makes for better quality and will dually have a less taxing impact on your body.
Q: HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR INGREDIENTS ARE GLUTEN-FREE AND/OR VEGAN?
A: We only source our ingredients from manufacturers who certify the gluten-free and vegan integrity of their goods.
Q: WHY USE NON-GMO INGREDIENTS?
A: We pay as much attention to what you will put into your body as much as what we would want our own families to eat. We don’t use genetically modified ingredients in our products.
Q: WHAT KIND OF SUGAR DO YOU USE?
A: We use mostly organic cane sugar—which is less refined that white sugar and retains more minerals and vitamins and doesn’t cause blood sugar to spike quickly. We also use organic light and dark brown sugar for a few of our GF cookies and pies; and in some instances, we use Sucanat or coconut sugar in our vegan baked goodies.
Q: DO YOU MAKE SUGAR-FREE OR DIABETIC-FRIENDLY ITEMS?
A: Yes and Yes. We often use alternative sugars, like agave, coconut sugar, and maple syrup in our muffins and other treats. We use Eyrithritol, a safe and delicious tasting, diabetic-safe sugar when making diabetic-friendly alternatives.
We ask that you give us a call if there’s something you desire to have sugar-free or safe for diabetics—9 times out of 10 we can make that modification easily.
Q: WHAT DO YOU USE TO REPLACE EGGS IN YOUR VEGAN & FULLY ALLERGEN-FREE PRODUCTS?
A: We often use “flax eggs,” made from flax seed meal combined with water, or ground chia seed combined with water.
Q: IS THERE ANY SOY IN YOUR PRODUCTS?
A: Thankfully we can say there are no soy ingredients in any of our products nor is it included or used in any of our processes.
Q: ARE ALL YOUR ITEMS NUT-FREE?
A: No. Some of our items contain nuts. Where they are present (most likely in some of our gluten-free products, in the form of almond meal or as chopped pecans or walnuts), we clearly label and state their presence. We are extremely diligent in our prevention measures to combat cross-contamination—during the prep and baking processes by keeping using dedicated pan and thoroughly cleaning our prep stations, production equipment, and packaging area.
Q: WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?
A: We currently make all our products at a shared kitchen in Baltimore City, MD., using our own non-shared protected-from-gluten-exposure baking and sealing equipment.
Q: HOW DO I STORE MY GLUTEN-FREE PRODUCTS AFTER I BUY THEM?
A: After buying or receiving your Treats4Eats package, keep all products at room temperature or in the refrigerator that you’re likely to consume daily. The rest are often freezable, where noted.
* Don’t forget to place all extra products in the freezer that won’t be used within the listed “Best By” time when they arrive.
Q: IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER ON ITEMS?
A: For individual consumer orders, our minimum order requirement is $35. Shipping cost will be calculated for your cart items.
Q: WHEN DO YOU SHIP ORDERS?
A: We ship orders on completion—which is typically two days after they are ordered.
Please note that any delivery around the holidays may be delayed beyond our control.
Q: HOW LONG WILL ORDERS TAKE TO ARRIVE?
A: As you’re ordering “perishable” food items, we do default to overnight shipping and highly suggest the next best option be two-day shipping.
